They significantly reduce the speed of cars in built up areas by deterring drivers who don't want to incur the damage that can potentially be caused to their cars by hitting a speed bump at higher than the designated speed limit.
Speed limits in residential areas are often very low, which can result in drivers surpassing them without even realising what they're doing.
Speed bumps ensure that limits are adhered to, thus protecting pedestrians from injury and drivers from unwanted vehicle damage or traffic police fines.
At Action Storage we stock 5mph and 10mph speeds bumps, which are ideal for areas where there is a high risk of collisions taking place, or a large number of vulnerable pedestrians, such as children, the disabled or old age pensioners frequently pass by.
Our speed bump middle sections and end sections are sold separately, enabling them to be spread across as large or small an area as the user requires, and also making them extremely easy to install and relocate.
The speed bumps are made from recycled rubber and come in high visibility yellow and black, with mid sections also containing 'cats' eyes' for extra visibility and safety at night time. The two end sections make a circular shape, and fixing bolts for tarmac or concrete surfaces can be included upon request - please specify when ordering.
For construction sites and outdoor events, our
Cable Protection Ramps are ideal, as they're designed to withstand heavy goods traffic weighing up to 6000kg. There's no ground fixings required with speed ramps, though there are bolt holes should you wish to make it a permanent addition.
