For 25 years Action Storage has been helping retailers, the public sector, businesses, manufacturers and many other organisations to maximise their storage space. Launched in April 1986, Action Storage has grown from a team of 7 people into a market leader. It now distributes shelving, racking, lockers and 4000 other storage products to companies all over the world.
Action Storage was the brainchild of Tom Brialey, who

continues to drive the company forward as Managing Director to this day. Utilising his experience in storage and materials handling, Tom and his team launched Action Storage to sell on large parcels of second hand racking and shelving in smaller consignments. As the company and its customer base grew, it was clear that Action Storage needed to expand its product range.
In 1995 Action Storage formed a partnership with Italian shelving manufacturer Metalsistem to distribute its Super123 (now known as Supershelf™)
shelving system. Boltless and highly adjustable, Supershelf™ can be customised to maximise the space in any storage area. This versatility saw it become very popular with retailers for use both in stockrooms and warehouses.
In the 1990s Action Storage further expanded its range to include personal and staff lockers. This included its
Atlas Economy Steel Lockers, which are an especially cost effective option for schools. Its sales of lockers grew rapidly, and by 2000 Action Storage's locker sales had matched those of shelving and racking.
Throughout the years Action Storage has continued to source the latest, most innovative storage products. The eXtreme Plastic Lockers® for example (for which Action Storage owns both the design and tooling) is made from hardwearing polyethylene plastic. This enables it to be stacked outdoors under cover without risk of it rusting or deteriorating. It's also highly resistant to vandalism, making it a popular choice for schools wishing to save corridor space. The
eXtreme Plastic Locker® is exceptionally durable making it perfect for use in harsh environments, such as in abattoirs and on oil rigs.
There have been many challenging projects for Action Storage over the years, in which it has had to deliver orders against the clock and in difficult circumstances. One example is when it had to install mobile shelving systems across 50 sites in 10 different EU countries. Partnering this logistical challenge was the time frame, with Action Storage having just 3 months to complete the entire project. Despite language barriers, delivery issues and having to work through the night, every installation was completed on time and on budget.
Action Storage continues to be based in its home city of Milton Keynes, a location which enables it to reach 80% of the working population within 2.5 hours and to offer super fast delivery times. Details of its 4000 products can be found on its website, where you can also order its 180 page printed catalogue packed with storage and handling systems for all commercial needs.
